Chirotech Technology Ltd in Cambridge has acquired an exclusive worldwide licence to patented technology in respect of asymmetric bond-forming reactions using new catalyst technology from Professor Barry Trost at Stanford University. ChiroTech is part of the Chiroscience Group and is engaged in the provision of chiral technology services and products to the life sciences industry. New drugs are increasingly complex in structure as greater selectivity of action is sought. This new technology places ChiroTech in an increasingly strong position to provide the industry with sophisticated chiral structures that cannot otherwise be effectively accessed. The new technology complements existing techniques- that ChiroTech has in-licensed already from Professor Barry Trost at Stanford. |
