B-TRAC Equipment Ltd in Wellingborough, which distributes the Vermeer range of underground and environmental equipment, has completed a management buy-out. The company was founded in 1992 and is the sole distributor for Vermeer industrial products in the UK and Eire. It has annual sales of £5m. The buy-out had the full backing of Vermeer, which is a US-based manufacturer, and was supported by Grant Thornton's North-ampton corporate finance team and county solicitors Toller Hales and Collcutt. Managing director Martin Wright said the MBO provided a fresh start for B-Trac. There is huge potential in Britain and Ireland for trenchless technology and recent legislation outlawing the burning of wood waste creates opportunities for B-Trac's wood recycling machines. |
