FPDSAVILLS and Agriland SA, the European consultants on rural estates, have forged a new association.
FPDSAVILLS and Agriland SA, the European consultants on rural estates, have forged a new association. Agriland, founded in 1985, advises farmers and land-owners on land management, chiefly in the Benelux countries. But its range of activity has extended steadily to include Italy, Spain and Germany. The President of Agriland, Thierry de L'Escaille, is Secretary General of the European Landowners Organisation, which has formed close links with the UK's Country Land-owners Association. Although FPDSavills has set up a network of commercial offices throughout western Europe, it has for some time been seeking to develop an agricultural network to be able to respond to a growing interest from clients keen to invest in European agriculture. Antony Lumby - head of the firm's land management division said: 'Our international reputation has attracted overseas applicants who are seriously looking for agricultural investments in Europe. 'Most want to know where to buy, how to go ahead with a purchase and how to manage what they have bought. 'Through the association with Agriland, we can now provide a service which will satisfy the needs of these applicants. At the same time, FPD Savills will be able to undertake the sale of large European properties which will be of interest to international investors. With Agriland, the firm will advise UK and international companies looking for help when working on the Continent. The new association will reinforce the expanding business of FPDSavills in Central Europe and help Agriland advise clients and applicants interested in agricultural property in this area - particularly in Poland and Hungary. |
