The two former directors of a leading Cambridge public relations consultancy have established a new business to help organisations benefit from both PR agency expertise and the flexibility of a freelance service. Elements PR has been set up by Jenny Kartupelis and Jane Heeney, both previously directors a PR business which serviced clients from East Anglia and London. While running the consultancy they were responsible for a number of award winning programmes, and when Jane subsequently became Head of PR at the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, her team undertook a range of national consumer and political campaigns. The new venture will provide clients with the combination of the security and stability of a traditional PR agency, together with the flexibility and value of freelance consultancy. Jane and I have been working as independent PR advisers for some time, with clients in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, said Jenny Kartupelis. Although there are many advantages of this route, you do lose the team benefits of support, creativity and the welcome sounding board. Our new arrangement at Elements PR means that we can give clients double the expertise and experience, without an increase in either administrative time or costs, since we retain our freelance status. |
