SOLANUM Ltd in Yaxley, the UK’s second biggest supplier of pre-packed potatoes to the major multiples, has launched a new grower group initiative.
Solanum Ltd in Yaxley, the UK’s second biggest supplier of pre-packed potatoes to the major multiples, has launched a new grower group initiative. Chairman Roger Hunt-Pain said that the launch provided a good opportunity to show growers that Solanum is committed to continuous investment, quality and improvement. At the same time it would help actively reduce costs and risk from within the supply chain, he told the launch meeting. The Group will focus heavily on research and development. All members will have exclusive access to results of specially commissioned trials, private seminars and review meetings. The group also offers a dedicated technical agronomy service which provides growers with the latest information and advice, together with a comprehensive crop monitoring service. |
