COMTEC, one of the UK’s leading providers of supply chain solutions to the communications industry, is expanding.
COMTEC, one of the UK’s leading providers of supply chain solutions to the communications industry, is expanding. The company is consolidating all its UK operations to a new purpose built HQ at the Cardinal Way Distribution Park at Godmanchester. The investment in the new site is in response to a 60 per cent increase in demand for COMTEC’s services since 1999. This growth has been achieved largely through the winning of multi-million pound contracts from major clients such as BT, ntl, Alcatel, Telewest and Cable & Wireless. The main logistics and distribution warehouse, originally based at Alconbury, has already relocated and will be followed by the HQ and sales staff currently based at Over, near Cambridge, during November. The High Wycombe operation, formerly known as Telcom Products and acquired by COMTEC in 1996, will be joining the rest of the team by the end of this year. |
