The Brentwood base of a leading pollution response company is benefiting from the award of another major national contract. The Brentwood base of a leading pollution response company is benefiting from the award of another major national contract.

Briggs Environmental Services has won a three-year deal with top road hauliers, P&O Trans European Limited, to tackle accidents involving oil or chemical spills and incidents anywhere in the UK. It follows 12 months of ad hoc responses.

Briggs has similar contracts in place with a leading rail haulage company, and with the Ministry of Defence to deal with spillage incidents around the country.

As part of that contract, Briggs was closely involved, earlier this year, in the clean up operation following the crash of two US fighter planes high in the Scottish mountains.

Briggs Environmental Services is the inland trading arm of BMES Limited, which deals with pollution prevention and incident response worldwide.
