Companies on that initial shortlist will be assessed in a number of ways between now and early February.

A panel of business peers will meet in the New Year to assess a final shortlist but no winners will be revealed until the presentation night.

Businesses which have made the initial shortlist will be included in a special round-up in our December 18 issue.
