It is also in advanced talks with existing lenders to transfer borrowings to a common set of terms and conditions.

Once the transfer is complete, it will raise new debt and make a promised return of capital to shareholders.

AWG is in talks with holders of the Group’s US dollar private placements totalling $753 million, and with other finance providers, concerning their participation in the new structure. Total costs of the restructuring amount to £120 million, it added.
