Silicon Fen has only one resident top 100 PR consultancy in the area to service its hi-tech needs, according the UK industry national league tables. Ely-based Myriad Public Relations, which has a turnover in excess of £1.6 million, is the only agency to feature in the rankings, compiled by the industry’s own publication PR Week. The agency’s portfolio already includes a number of hi-tech clients including IT solutions company Lenton, top 10 new media agency Green Cathedral and biotech support organisation ERBI. MD Steve Weaving said: “Silicon Fen is one of the fastest growing centres of technology and development in this country and as the leading agency in this region our business has developed alongside it. “Our roots are in Cambridgeshire and although we have international and national clients, we’re committed to the area and proud to be recognised as its top PR consultancy by the industry’s leading publication. “We now have a thriving technology team which is working with some key industry players. We are able to support their development with our extensive PR experience. “Although we have increasingly focused on the technology sector, we still maintain roots in the business-to-business and healthcare fields which remain at the core of our work.” Myriad’s b2b team works with a number of the region’s top organisations including Cambridge-based solicitors Hewitson Becke + Shaw, financial services company AMP and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Other clients are SSL International, The Stationery Office, 3M UK, 3M Health Care and Saffron Walden Herts & Essex Building Society. To underline its recent success Myriad is moving into new purpose-built offices later this year.
