Munters, the Huntingdon UK moisture control specialist, has played a key role in cleaning up a US Midwest school campus hit by a tornado. Three buildings at a Nebraska school compound were devastated by the onslaught. Munters won a contract worth $2.7m for restoration work. The clean-up started with traditional water damage restoration but expanded to document drying and specific cleaning services. The final phase, just awarded, included the contents cleaning and involves cleaning all the desks, chairs and other school contents. In total around 30,000 to 40,000 cubic metres of a variety of products will have been restored when work is completed by the end of August. |
