Emap Consumer Media is bringing Italian inspired style to the UK with the launch of the first women’s weekly glossy magazine penned in for Spring 2005. Published under licence from Italy’s market leading publisher, Mondadori, Grazia will offer readers and advertisers celebrity and fashion news on a weekly basis. The publication team will be headed by managing director, David Davies, ex-editor of FHM, and editor-in-chief, Fiona McIntosh, former editor of Elle. Grazia will target a newsstand circulation of 150,000 within 12 months and is expected to break even within three years with a total investment of £16 million. Grazia is Mondadori’s flagship news, fashion and lifestyle magazine aimed predominantly at upmarket, elegant women, with an international reputation for fashion, beauty and cosmetics advertising. Paul Keenan, CEO at Emap Consumer Media, said: “From Spring 2005 women won’t have to wait a whole month for their glossy fix. It will grow the market and bring something new to readers and advertisers. Grazia will be a key part of Emap Consumer Media’s women’s magazine portfolio, complementing heat, Closer, New Woman, Top Sante and more.” |
