Technology companies in the East of England area can learn more about vital early-stage Government funding to help commercialise their products at a workshop backed by the European Union, East of England Development Agency and Lloyds TSB Corporate. Access to EU funding, technology transfer, strategic advice and best practice are all on the agenda for a hi-tech showcase arranged by the three organisations at St John’s Innovation Centre, Cambr-idge on Wednesday, February 2. The programme will also feature dedicated, one-to-one support clinics, allowing technology companies to share experiences and best practice and find solutions to any growing pains they are experiencing. Chief organiser Dr Geeta Gupta, from Lloyds TSB Corporate’s technology team in Cambridge, said a similar showcase specifically for Life Sciences companies, would be held at St John’s Innovation Centre on March 8. She said: “The format for both events will be similar. Companies can hear all about regional, national and European funding initiatives and how they can tap into this rich resource through the REWARDS project, backed by EEDA and the European Social Fund. “The region continues to generate some brilliant science and technology but has felt a gap in early-stage funding. “The objective of these events is to pull together the various strands required to ensure that good science & technology companies tap into these alternate sources of funding and do not wither away because of the funding gap.” Timings and registration details are available from David Pope on 01223 227 477 or via email: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it |
