Great Yarmouth Borough Council has placed a significant contract with Norfolk Environmental Waste Services (NEWS) that will see the borough’s dry recyclable waste from doorstep collections totally processed through NEWS’ pioneering Waste Recycling Centre at Costessey. Great Yarmouth is now the seventh local authority in the county to choose to recycle its waste through the NEWS Waste Recycling Centre, further reducing the volume of waste going to landfill. The development puts Norfolk firmly among the leaders in recycling in the UK. As well as serving local authority customers, the plant offers opportunities for businesses that are keen on improving their own environmental performance to recycle their waste. |
