NJP (New Jarrold Printing) has been given the go-ahead from South Norfolk Council for its proposals for a £40 million state-of-the-art print centre at Wymondham.
NJP (New Jarrold Printing) has been given the go-ahead from South Norfolk Council for its proposals for a £40 million state-of-the-art print centre at Wymondham. The council’s planning committee approved plans for the development on a 27-acre site close to the A11 trunk road, after Wymondham Town Council had given their agreement earlier this month. The plans had been revised to lower the building further into the site, raise the acoustic earth bank and plant more mature as well as young trees to take into account the concerns of residents on a nearby residential estate. Bob Pitts, managing director of NJP, said: “We warmly welcome this decision. This green light enables us to move ahead with our plans to create a print centre, which will have a competitive edge in the international market. We are confident, too, that it will bring considerable benefits to the community of Wymondham. “Making this decision now will enable us to begin the landscaping, which will help in screening the construction work from nearby residents and ultimately create an attractive parkland setting for the new centre.”
