Coding & marking specialist Linx Printing Technologies in St Ives is to retain its own identity and operate as a separate entity within new owner Danaher’s product identification division. Linx will continue to promote its own brands and products through its subsidiaries and existing distribution partners globally. Danaher Corporation, an American Fortune 500 company, manufactures and sells industrial and consumer products, including product identification equipment. Linx has just unveiled several new additions to its range of inkjet, impulse jet and laser coding systems at the Interpack show. Making its bow was the Xymark LC – a laser system that can perforate and score flexible packaging films on high-speed production lines for modified atmosphere packaging and easy-tear applications. The micro-performing involved in the application allows manufacturers of fresh produce to maximise shelf life and storage. Linx also unveiled its expanded Xymark steered beam laser range, which includes a small spot option ideal for applications requiring intricate codes, such as small electronic components or pharmaceutical products. |
