Herts-based Aero Inventory revealed that profits increased fourfold and sales more than doubled for the year ended June 30, a period which also saw the successful commencement of major contracts with SR Technics UK, SR Technics Ireland and GMF AeroAsia in Indonesia.

Pre-tax profits for the specialist provider of e-based procurement and inventory solutions to the aerospace industry reached £7.2m, a massive increase of 332 per cent over the previous year (2004: £1.7m) and turnover hit £43.6m (2004: £21.1m), up 107 per cent.

Nigel McCorkell, Aero Inventory’s non-executive chairman, said: “We expect further substantial growth in the year ending 30 June 2006 because the year will see a 12 month (as opposed to a 10 month) contribution from our major contracts, as well as organic growth as we extend the range of support provided to certain of our existing customers.”

“Furthermore, there are a number of important new business opportunities under discussion.”
