The Environment Agency, the leading public body for protecting and improving the environment in England and Wales, has deployed Autonomy’s technology to facilitate fast access to information on its intranet. Autonomy’s advanced retrieval facilities help employees locate the latest information on environmental concerns speedily and effortlessly, allowing them to stay abreast of the latest research and developments to provide the best service to the Environment Agency’s public. The Environment Agency provides high quality environmental protection and improvement, working with a number of other organisations to prevent damage to the environment by providing education and guidance. Autonomy’s technology supplies 12,000 employees at the Environment Agency with access to the most recent information by collating around 50,000 documents from internal sources. The technology operates both in Welsh and English.
