Despite strong competition, The Technology Partnership (TTP) has won the Design Collaboration Award from Cranfield School of Management in partnership with Eureka and New Electronics. The Award recognises TTP’s outstanding record of collaboration with customers and manufacturing partners in new product development. The awards were presented at a luncheon at the London Hilton in Park Lane. Nick Brayshaw, chairman of the CBI’s Manufacturing Council and a DTI board member, was the keynote speaker. TTP’s processes and expertise in advanced technology and product development were scrutinised by a panel of judges over a period of weeks. A total of six products developed by TTP for clients in a number of different markets, all of which are currently in mass production in a range of locations from the UK to China, were examined. These included the InBev/Philips ‘Perfect Draft’ home draught beer system, the Pari eFlow nebuliser (which uses TTP’s proprietary electronic aerosol technology), TTP’s DAB radio module (which can be found inside Philips, Pure, Goodmans, Grundig, Bush, Ministry of Sound, Roberts Radio and many other DAB products), Dymo’s Letratag label printer, a domestic carbon monoxide alarm which has a five year battery life, and the Vodafone RadioPad. TTP’s managing director Peter Taylor said: "TTP has remarkable people working here on various projects such as these. "Partnership at all levels within the company and with our clients has produced a unique track history of innovation and business success" Dean Palmer, Ed, Eureka added: "The winners of this year’s Product Design & Development Awards all demonstrate a full understanding of how to make profit, capture market share and how to take emerging or existing technologies and translate those into excellent products that customers want to buy." TTP is Europe’s leading independent product and technology development and licensing company. Its primary objective is to create new business based on advances in technology. TTP specialises in communications, medical products, digital printing, microdevices, optics, vision, consumer and industrial products. |
