Air Berlin is to take on easyJet by launching a non-stop service from Stansted to Alicante in southern Spain. Air Berlin is to take on easyJet by launching a non-stop service from Stansted to Alicante in southern Spain.

Other Stansted routes are expected to be brought online by Air Berlin before Christmas that also directly challenge easyJet services.
