Stansted has become the third largest airport in the UK.
Stansted has become the third largest airport in the UK. Its February passenger figures showed an increase of 7 per cent to take the Essex hub past Manchester and into third behind Heathrow and Gatwick. Stansted’s 7 per cent rise in passenger numbers contrasted starkly to Heath-row’s 0.4 per cent fall year-on-year. Stansted’s results were its best monthly figures since June 2005.
