Hubert Burda Media, the German publishing giant, is to use the acquisition of Colchester publishing house, Essential Publishing, to underpin its UK growth strategy.
Hubert Burda Media, the German publishing giant, is to use the acquisition of Colchester publishing house, Essential Publishing, to underpin its UK growth strategy. Burda, which has in excess of 252 titles in 19 countries, said the acquisition complemented its London operation, adding that it is committed to further expansion of its portfolio in the UK. Essential employs 30 staff at its Colchester centre and has a number of consumer, business and contract titles, which include the top-selling women’s fortnightly, Real, and the 100,000 plus selling, Your Home. Financial details of the sale were not disclosed. |
