Emap Communications Ltd, the subsidiary of Peterborough-based Emap plc, has sold its 70 per cent interest in the joint venture Construction Research Communications Ltd (CRC) to IHS Group Holdings, a wholly-owned UK subsidiary of IHS Inc.

Building Research Establishment Limited, the 30 per cent joint venture partner in CRC, has also sold its interest to IHS. CRC publishes technical information for the built environment and at 31 March 2006 had gross assets of £992,000.
