Law firm Eversheds has unveiled its half year figures for 2006-2007, seeing turnover increase by 13 per cent to £179 million from £158m during the same period last year, and is expecting a strong finish to the financial year in 2007.
Last year the firm posted a half-year increase of 5 per cent with end-of-year revenues eventually up 7 per cent to hit £320m. The results come as the firm also announced a record billing month in October, billing almost £45m. Eversheds is the lead sponsor in Business Weekly’s East of England Business Awards. Ian Mather, senior office partner in Cambridge said: “In the last six months we have seen very strong growth in our business regionally, which is reflected in these figures.” Eversheds managing partner David Gray added: “Every office and practice group improved their performance with the amount of fees generated by our international network exceeding 20 per cent on the previous year. “These results show that our strategy for growth is really paying off. We have bottomed out the profitability and PEP issues of the past and the business has shifted up several gears and is accelerating growth. |
