Lotus Sports’ latest track car, the 2007 Lotus Sport Exige Cup 255, has gone on sale following its unveiling at the Essen Motorshow in Germany.
Powered by a 1796 cc supercharged engine developing 252 brake horse power (bhp) and driving through a 6-speed close ratio C64 gearbox, the car has a top speed of 160 mph and does 0-60 in under 3.9 seconds. Though radical in design, the car keeps true to the Lotus tradition of keeping weight down to a minimum, coming in at 950kg. UK fans will have to look overseas, however, as the Lotus Sport Exige Cup 255 is not currently available in the UK market. |
