Northants-based Sarantel has signed a memorandum of understanding to bring production of its filtering antennas for the wireless market closer to its large Asian customer base in a tie-up with Californian-based Sanmina-SCI, a leading global electronics manufacturing services company based in California.
Sanmina-SCI will provide Sarantel with procurement, manufacturing and logistics services from its Singapore facility. It will also acquire some of Sarantel’s manufacturing assets as the deal progresses, but none of Sarantel’s buildings or employees. Financial details of the deal are undisclosed. |
