After posting record Q3 results, Europe’s biggest low fares airline, Ryanair, has announced four new destinations, 16 new routes and a 19th European base in Dusseldorf.
After posting record Q3 results, Europe’s biggest low fares airline, Ryanair, has announced four new destinations, 16 new routes and a 19th European base in Dusseldorf. The expansion links Ryanair to four new airports, Alicante (Spain), Maastricht (Nether-lands), Palma de Mallorca (Spain) and Zadar (Croatia), increasing its routes to 454 from 130 airports across Europe. The airline has dropped Girona to Marrakesh and Stansted to Deauville to accommodate the new routes. Ryanair’s net profits for the third quarter ended December 31 increased 30 per cent to 48m Euros (£32m), traffic grew 19 per cent to 10.3m people and yields were up seven per cent as total revenues increased 33 per cent to 493m Euros (£325m). |
