Stephen Kimbell, founding partner of commercial solicitors, Kimbells, is standing down after 21 years at the helm. Stephen Kimbell, founding partner of commercial solicitors, Kimbells, is standing down after 21 years at the helm.

A well known figure in the local business community, he will continue to be closely connected with the firm. He will be working in a consultancy role with Kimbells, sourcing and delivering corporate deals and fostering relationships with major clients, for at least the next two years.

Stephen Kimbell established the practice in Milton Keynes in 1986 and has led it to be one of the pre-eminent corporate law firms in the region. “It is very satisfying to see that Kimbells has mirrored the success of Milton Keynes,” he said. “The firm is enjoying another record year and is a leading player in all of its chosen market sectors. After 21 years as senior partner I now want to make time to develop some of my other business and academic interests, although I shall remain closely associated with the firm for the next few years.”

Peter Holden, fellow founding partner, will take on the position of senior partner, continuing the drive for the firm to become a regional heavyweight. He will work closely with chief executive, Ian Foster and managing partner, Jonathan Hambleton, to achieve this goal.
