Hemel Hempsted-based automated telephony company Telephonetics has announced that slow uptake of its products in the health sector and slow international expansion of its film booking service, Movieline will cause results for the current year to be "materially below market expectations."
Results for the year to November 2006 will be in line with market expectations, however, according to the firm. The firm has issued a statement in which it proposes increased sales spending in order to gain a strategic market position, particularly in the corporate sector, which the company feels holds higher-value opportunites. Following the news, shares in Telephonetics lost 23 per cent of their value, dropping to 9.25p. |
