Autonomy’s software platform IDOL is being used to underpin the infrastructure of millions of documents at EnergySolutions, the US-based nuclear services company.
Formed in 2006 through the merger of four companies, EnergySolutions has became one of the largest providers of services across the entire nuclear fuel cycle, including transportation, processing, and disposal of radioactive materials. As a result of its rapid expansion millions of documents now reside across multiple document management systems in diverse file formats, including scientific documentations, HTML, graphics, photographs, video clips and many other. “We have already seen significant return-on-investment, since the completion of the product deployment,” said Carol Fineagan, chief information officer at EnergySolutions. Autonomy’s share price rose 16p to 693p a share, an increase of 2.36 per cent.
