Ely-based Myriad PR has acted for the Haemophilia Society on the launch of a public inquiry into how and why 4,670 haemophiliacs were contaminated with HIV and or hepatitis C from NHS blood and blood products.
An entire generation of haemophilia patients were exposed to the contaminated blood during the 1970s and 1980s. 1,757 of the 4,670 have died since being infected. Myriad has worked with the Society for several years and was retained for an undisclosed sum. |
