One of the UK’s leading firms of charity law solicitors has opened a new office in Cambridge to focus on providing advice to the universities, schools and other charities based in the East of England. Stone King opened for business on March and has clients ranging from the Society of Chemical Industry to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Senior partner and head of the firm’s charity & education team, Michael King, said “We recognise that the Cambridge colleges, along with those of Oxford and Durham will eventually have to register as charities with the Charity Commission and that with the advent of the Charities Act 2006 charities generally will need advice on charity law and practice.” Stone King also has offices in Bath and London. |
