Sales slowed during the second half of the year at Drs Data & Research affecting promising profits for the year to December 2006.

The Milton Keynes-based firm said that pre-tax profits were up to £233k from £17k last year, but that they were affected by slowed sales in H2 and unbudgeted costs. It also declared a dividend of 0.5p per share, compared to nil for last time.

“We are confident that with a firm control of costs there will be growth in both revenue and profit for the year,” the company said in a statement.
