NXT, up 26 per cent over the week, said its Japanese licensee Authentic had launched the latest generation Distributed Mode Actuator (DMA). the new DMA is smaller and louder than its predecessors and offers improved sound quality.

NXT’s smallest actuators, piezo-based DMAs are used to transform suitable panels such as the transparent protection screen in front of LCD displays into loudspeakers through direct excitation.

As a result of their size, these can be used in mobile phones, portable digital players, or any other product with an LCD screen where design and performance are prerequisites.
