MTL Instruments in Luton has announced a 17 per cent increase in pre-tax profits for the full year driven by a 15 per cent increase in sales, reporting strong growth and continued buoyant conditions.
Sales for the firm, which develops and supplies electronic instrumentation and protection equipment for the process control and telecommunications industries rose to £85.3m from £74.2m last time, which generated profits before tax of £8.4m, up from £7.2m for a year ago. Chairman Malcolm Coster said: “We saw strong growth across the board and conditions continue to be buoyant, which should ensure that we make further revenue and earnings progress in 2007. This is despite the fact that the US dollar and euro exchange rates to sterling are weaker compared to 2006.” |
