A Norfolk supplier of commercial vehicle tension curtains has clinched a major deal with Italian-based manufacturer Auto-car.
A Norfolk supplier of commercial vehicle tension curtains has clinched a major deal with Italian-based manufacturer Auto-car. Structure-Flex aluminium technology will be brokered into Autocar products distributed to UK bodybuilders. Although Autocar features more than 3,000 products in its latest catalogue, Structure-Flex will be focusing its UK sales and marketing activities on a group of strategic components including sliding and fixed roofs, pillars and doors and a new range of locking products. These will be made by Autocar at its factory in Bergamo. Unlike their counterparts in mainland Europe, UK commercial vehicle body-builders have traditionally preferred steel to aluminium for trailer manufacture. But Stucture-flex believes that increasing European standardisation and the constant pressure to reduce manufacturing costs make this an ideal time to introduce these components into the industry. |
