ARTVPS, the Cambridge specialist in ultra-real 3D imaging, is launching a full time US operation starting on the West Coast, which it then plans to push out to New York and Chicago.
The leading developer of high performance, photorealistic rendering solutions, plans to take full advantage of the massive opportunities its technology has in a new age for marketing that is increasingly dependent on highly visualised pre-sale advertising. New sales and marketing director, Mark Burton, has been given the remit of raising ARTVPS’ US profile and will begin by recruiting a business development executive to oversee a small operation that is most likely to be based in Los Angeles. At least two full time support staff will be taken on and then a number of staff to capture ‘marquee’ customers and introduce reseller channels. “The US will be a major revenue contributor,” said Burton. “The auto industry in the US is massive and our product lends itself for the growing tide of design and commercial visualisation. “More and more products are being pre-sold, marketing and sales is kicking in before the product is even launched. “Our 3D configurator can be used for press releases and ads, offering a photorealism that is as real as real can be. There is no need to take a car to the shoot anymore, or even to have a car at all.” The US excursion will initially be supported by an investment of up to £400k, with further growth dictated by demand. Revenues of around $1m are planned for the first year, rising to $2.5m in the second. Burton’s arrival coincides with the release of a major new product range, which ARTVPS has developed to extend the application and affordability of its technology to a significantly wider audience. |
