Adder snakes into Asia Pacific marketplace

Bar Hill based electronics manufacturer ADDER Technology has created its first presence in the Asia Pacific marketplace. Bar Hill based electronics manufacturer ADDER Technology has created its first presence in the Asia Pacific marketplace. Based in the city state of Singapore, Adder’s new office and warehouse facility will service pre-sales and post-sales advice, technical support and will stock all Adder products for distribution across Asia Pacific. Adder is a developer of KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) switches, extenders and KVM via IP technology, which allows users to control and access multiple computers from a single keyboard, monitor and mouse, locally, remotely or from anywhere in the world. Adder’s technology is used in a variety of industry segments from retail to broadcast to military. Established in 1984 by Cambridge University graduate, Adrian Dickens, the company’s growth over recent years has ben fuelled by the switch from analogue to digital switching and more latterly, IP-based switching. Innovation and R&D are strong components of the company’s offering, evidenced by the company’s joint venture with AT&T spin-out Real VNC. The pair teamed up to create Adventiq, a company developing KVM over IP chips. Adder unveiled its most recent breakthrough at this year’s CeBIT. The AdderLink ipeps enables computer access and control from anywhere in the world, securely and remotely via the internet or corporate network, using RealVNC client software. In March last year the company announced a major expansion of its Bar Hill facility, trebling manufacturing space through a major investment programme. Over 60 per cent of Adder’s production is now exported, with Europe and the US accounting for the bulk of current exports. The company now has its eyes trained on Asian expansion. International sales man-ager, Simon Clew said: “Our Singapore Office completes the circle for Adder. “Not only can we now fully support our fast growing market in Asia, we can now also offer support across all time zones.”
