King's Lynn-based Porvair has announced that it has begun customer deliveries on its new generation of filters for metal alloys used in high grade metal castings, which it said will be worth £2.5m annually.
The new technology, which Porvair calls a “key growth project” has been under development for five years by Porvair and its partners. Production of the high tech filters will be scaled up during 2007 and full capacity, which Porvair said will be worth £2.5m a year, is expected to be reached by mid 2008. “We have been working closely with our technology partners and customers to bring this new filter to market. This work will underpin the improving results we are seeing in our Metals Filtration Division which, along with the UK Filtration Group, has started 2007 well,” said CEO Ben Stocks. Shares in Porvair have gained almost six points, rising 7.5p to 137.5p. |
