In a trading update released ahead of results in June, Cambridge-based Bango announced that it expects loss for the full year to be around £2.8m, in line with analysts' expectations.

The mobile internet platform provider said that total revenues for the year to March 2007 are expected to be over £10.3m, compared to £7.5m for the previous year. It added that growth for H2 had risen 27 per cent over figures for the first half of the financial year. The firm also said that its move to reduce marketing costs were proving effective.

“Revenue growth in the UK accelerated after a slowing in the summer of 2006 and revenues outside the UK showed continued strong growth,” said Ray Anderson, CEO.

The group's shares saw a marginal rise, growing 1.8 per cent to 56.5p.
