Frutarom UK is set to expand its Northants operation following the acquisition of Merseyside-based Jupiter Flavours Ltd in a deal worth up to $2.4 million (£1.7m).
The deal is the second acquisition for Frutarom UK – the British arm of Israeli-owned Frutarom Industries – this month following its £8.7m acquisition of Belmay Ltd in Wellingborough, strengthening its claim to be the UK’s leading flavour house. Final details on how much of the Jupiter operation will move to Frutarom’s Kettering facility are yet to be taken, but the company has said it intends to integrate Jupiter. Frutarom has also said it plans to save £3m following the Belmay deal. It currently occupies 72,500 sq ft at its Kettering facility where it has a 90-strong workforce. Belmay employs 85. |
