Chelmsford-based Britvic is planning to transfer 450 staff to KN Drinks Logistics and Apollo Vending Services as part of an outsourcing programme aimed at saving the soft drinks giant £5-6m per annum by 2009.
The proposals – currently under consultation – would also reduce capital exp-enditure requirements by £2-3m from 2008, although they would incur a one off exceptional cost of £3-4m. Britvic has also exchanged contracts for the disposal and short term leaseback of its depot in Tamworth at a net cash consideration of £9m. |
