And Adcock has ensured that the clean tech revolution stands the test of time by installing the new-generation Toshiba VRF R410A air conditioning system in its in-house Cambridge training academy. Current and future crops of Adcock trainee engineers are now able to cut their teeth on the system in a dress rehearsal for real-life customer installations.

The new Toshiba series uses the energy-efficient, non-ozone depleting R410A refrigerant. Each module of the outdoor units at the heart of the system contains two inverter-driven compressors with low starting currents – cutting power consumption by 30 per cent. The outdoor condensing unit can also be set to night mode, which reduces noise levels.
