Transport electronics specialist, LPA Group has announced strong results for the first half of the year, swinging into profit on the back of a 29 per cent rise in sales.
The Saffron Walden-based firm reported pre-tax profits of £156k for the six months to March, up from losses of £149k a year earlier, boosted by an increase in sales to £8.6m from £6.7m last time, adding that it expected the results to continue into the second half. It said that while some of this period's strong results were due to customers bringing forward projects from early next year, the challenges created next year will be overcome by secured rail projects coming online in the fourth quarter. “There are challenges in the longer term to be addressed, but we have the strategy to deal with them. The group is in robust shape and we are looking forward to the future with improved confidence,” said CEO, Peter Pollock. |
