Royston-based Episys has delivered high street retailer Woolworths with a labelling solution, which the 98 year old firm has described as "most successful project in a number of years."

The signage solution specialist's aim was to change the way that Woolies replaced its missing or damaged price labels in store, which had previously led to lost sales, customer dissatisfaction and staff confusion.

As a result of the software, hardware, consumables and support provided by Episys, Woolworths was able to meet its target of saving 30,000 sheets of paper per quarter and significantly increase the time wwhich staff have to serve customers.

Woolworths' business systems manager, Paul Seaton said: "We spoke to a number of IT vendors but Episys helped us address not one but three issues: Not only a more efficient way to fix missing labels, but also the automation of price checking for prices, and meeting our due diligence responsibilities on price accuracy."
