KPMG’s offices in East Anglia have announced significant promotions and a record intake of new students joining the firm as the Cambridge and Ipswich operations continue to grow. Helen Sant, who has been with the East Anglian practice since 2003, has been promoted to partner to become the head of corporate tax for the region, while Chris Oxborough has also been promoted to become a partner within the business advisory group. Making the move from KPMG’s headquarters in London to the region is Archie Watt, who joins as a director and will be developing the firm’s business advisory offerings for businesses in East Anglia. Ben Alexander was promoted to senior manager and David Maddams to manager, both within the audit group. It was also a bumper year for new students joining the firm in the region with 13 students coming on board, a record intake locally. Robert Ferguson, senior partner for KPMG’s offices in Ipswich and Cambridge said: “This region has had a tremendous track record in attracting great businesses to the area and giving them an environment in which to grow. “We work with some fantastic clients and there are some great industry sectors based here so we are really looking forward to taking the office forward. “By developing and growing our teams we are concentrating on building on our strengths in important sectors such as transport, financial services and logistics, continuing to bring value to our clients and developing relationships with new contacts across all areas of our business.” |
