The success of aviation in the region shows no signs of abating judging by several announcements in addition to American Airlines’ launch – a move motivated by customer demand and the airport’s market validation.
Israir Airlines plans to launch weekly flights from Stansted to Eilat on the southern tip of Israel plus a further three flights a week to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport. Eastern Airways invited former test cricketer, Dominic Cork to help launch its new service providing up to 15 flights a week from Stansted to Manchester. Eos is building on the success of its business only Stansted to New York JFK service by adding a Stansted to New York Newark route. Irish carrier Aer Arann, which serves Luton, has increased its business to the point that it is looking at listing on the London AIM and Irish stock markets in the coming months as a funding options. |
