Multiple monitor pioneer, DisplayLink has announced that it has been named Emerging Technology Company of the Year by the National Microelectronics Institute (NMI).

DisplayLink's technology uses standard network interfaces to deliver low-cost, easy-to-use multi-screen computing.

DisplayLink's products enable a single PC to support up to six monitors through one USB connection, while maintaining low latency and high-quality images - factors that have traditionally hindered the uptake of such technology. The company has partnerships with top tier-one technology brands, including Samsung, LG and Toshiba.

Hamid Farzaneh CEO of DisplayLink said: "Our team has worked very hard to make multi-display technology simple and accessible to everyone, and this endorsement backs up our position and capabilities within this growing market."
