Ipswich based PR consultancy Project PR topped the medal table with four gold awards in the annual Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) ‘PRide’ Awards for East Anglia.
The Awards showcase the best PR work outside of London. BBC Look East presenter Alex Dunlop hosted the event at Endeavour House in Ipswich.

Project PR, which has four staff, won the special award for Outstanding Small Consultancy. It also won three further awards for Consumer Relations (PR for the Ford Retail group of 55 dealerships); Best Website (for the Team Ipswich website) and Integrated Communications (a joint entry with Suffolk manufacturer Challs International).

This year the PRide Awards attracted a total of 1,456 entries from 11 regions across the UK. Judging was by a national panel of industry experts. Project PR’s gold winning entries will now proceed to the CIPR President’s Grand Prix Awards where they’ll compete head to head against the rest of the UK’s gold winners.

“Credit goes to our enthusiastic and hard working team who consistently deliver the results for our clients. We were delighted to pick up more awards than any other PR agency or in-house team,” said Penny Arbuthnot, a director at Project PR.

Project PR was winner of the 2007 Anglian Business Awards ‘Small Business of the Year’. It works with a mix of private and public sector organisations handling local and national PR campaigns. Other local clients include Havebury Housing Partnership, solicitors Thompson Smith & Puxon and Mirage Cosmetics.
