Glass bottle merchant receives £1.65m finance package

Plenty of bottle: Corrado Vulpio of RBS, with Andre Chapman (MD), Karon Chaproniere and Tony Chapman of A E Chapman & Son Ltd The UK’s leading glass bottle wholesale merchant and stockist, A E Chapman and Son Ltd, has received a £1.65m finance package from The Royal Bank of Scotland to diversify its business in the commercial property investment market. Chapman and Son is a fourth generation family business that provides storage, re-packing, resorting, bottle washing and decoration of all types of glass bottles. Primarily servicing the UK, the company also provide an export service to its international customers. Most recently, it has diversified into property investment by purchasing Broadland Wineries land and property in Norfolk. RBS provided a financial package that met the requirements of this transaction securing the future of the winery business. Broadland Wineries is an established company making and bottling British wine for over 40 years in Cawston, Norfolk and is a long standing customer of A E Chapman.
